What is a trend?
A trend is a pattern which follows a direction and is effected by a series of conditions or processes across a series of events across time. These so called events, or data points are captured and plotted in graphs which determine the direction of a trend.
A bullish, or upward trend forms from a series of Higher Highs (HH),Higher Lows (HL). On the other hand, a bearish, or downward trend forms from a series of Lower Highs (LH), and Lower Lows (LL).
When the price tries to push to an upward direction several times, but fails to go beyond, the price is at a level of resistance. On the other hand, when the price tries to push downards several times, and fails, then price would have reached a level of support.
